Brexit: Pharmacists in UK mustn´t stockpile medicines

NHS England chief pharmaceutical officer Keith Ridge has warned pharmacists who stockpile medicines will be investigated. In a letter issued on January 17 responded to the dissemination of news on the expected shortage of medicines and supply difficulties in the event of a no deal Brexit. In the letter Mr Ridge outlines measures the NHS and Government have taken, including asking the pharmaceutical industry to develop a six-week stockpile. He reinsured that additional storage areas and alternative transport routes are also prepared.
