Pharmacists from Canada want to become more competent. They want to prescribe medication for more minor ailments and use more of their education and help patients. Due to the competence extend pharmacists are hoping to relieve some of the stress on the formal health-care system by diverting some patients to access some of the services in the pharmacy. Some doctors are against because they worry about potential risks.
