Shaping the Future of Everyday Pharmacy Practice

1-2 October 2025, Sofia, Bulgaria

The EFPC Academy 2025 took place on 1–2 October in Sofia, bringing together over 80 pharmacy professionals, institutional representatives and industry experts from various European countries to exchange experiences and best practices.

This year's Academy focused on the growing role of artificial intelligence and its transformative impact on pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical care across Europe. As part of the programme, participants visited the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria's largest and oldest higher education institution in the field, where they explored innovative practices, educational facilities and technologies supporting the development of future pharmacists. Continuing the Academy's tradition, the programme also included visits to several local pharmacies, providing participants with valuable insights into the development and modernisation of community pharmacy practice in Bulgaria.
